We also excel in developing resumes that solve tough job search challenges. Perhaps you are currently facing one (or more) of the following:
- Concerns about age discrimination
- Job hopping or extended employment gaps
- Lack of related experience
- Career/industry change
- Layoff or company closure
- Self-employment/business ownership
- Military-to-civilian transition
- Profit/nonprofit sector transfer
- Consulting career launch or closure
- Overseas-to-U.S. employment search
- Eagerness to advance to a higher level position
If so, you’re in good hands. We work closely with you to figure out the best strategy to overcome potential resume issues. Best of all, we produce proven results, as evidenced by repeated accolades and job search success stories from our clients.
Are your writers certified?
Yes. Your resume will be prepared by a professional resume writer with CPRW (Certified Professional Resume Writer) and/or NCRW (Nationally Certified Resume Writer) credentials.
What other qualifications do your writers have?
Professional Affiliations:Our writers are full-time professionals who are serious about the field of resume writing. They maintain active membership in organizations including the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC) and the National Resume Writers’ Association (NRWA).
Years of Experience: Each of our writers has at least 20 years of experience in writing, marketing, and graphic design. They are backed by proven success in preparing interview-generating resumes for job seekers from virtually every career field and industry (including engineering, high-tech, sales, retail, wholesale, logistics, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, marketing, entertainment, finance, law, science, insurance, and education–just to name a few). It takes time to learn what works and what does not, and we wouldn’t think of pairing you with a resume writer who wasn’t an expert in the field.
Publications and Presentations: More than 150 of our writers’ resumes have been featured in ten career and resume books, including McGraw Hill’s The Career Change Resume: How to Reinvent Your Resume and Land Your Dream Job and JIST Works’ Professional Resumes for Executives, Managers & Other Administrators. Resume samples by our writers are also featured on leading websites including Microsoft Office, Monster, MSN, and AOL. In addition, our resume writers are frequent article contributors on such topics as resume writing, resume design, and job search strategy to business and national publications and leading career websites. Many are also featured speakers at national resume writing conferences and symposiums.
How long does the process take?
Our current turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks from the time that we have all of your information. We tend to have a waiting list and rarely offer rush service, so please plan ahead so we have time to do a great job for you.
May I make changes to my new resume?
Absolutely. We don’t enforce a set number of draft revisions you are permitted within the 14-day revision timeframe. You will have ample opportunity to make changes to your document, and we are committed to your 100% satisfaction.
How do I get my resume updated?
We make it easy to update your resume as your career progresses. All client resumes are kept on file, so when you need to add a new position, new credentials, or new skills to your resume, just let us know. Send us a message or order online when you’re ready to have your resume updated.
How do I pay for services?
We honor all major credit cards–VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept PayPal.
Are resume services tax deductible?
Resume design/production was a potentially tax-deductible service in 2017 and earlier. Unfortunately, provisions in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act eliminated this deduction for tax years 2018-2025. As always, check with your tax advisor to discuss deductions that apply to you.
What if I have questions?
Send us a message. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
What happens after I sign up?
You will receive our proprietary career survey in MS Word format, which you may download and work on at your convenience. The majority of our clients tell us how helpful the career survey is – not just for the resume writing process – but in preparing for job interviews.
After you return the completed survey, your project will be underway. The certified resume writer assigned to your project will review your responses, analyze additional materials (e.g., performance reviews, reference letters, sample job postings), and follow up with you if we need additional information. You will receive your new resume in MS Word and PDF format via email as soon as it’s ready.
